Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 3 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 3 tablespoons shortening or butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Filling

  • 4 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 1 cup green olives (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup capers
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 8 slices ham
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 egg (beaten, for brushing)
Directions
  1. Make the dough
    • In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, powdered milk, and salt.
    • Add the butter/shortening and mix well.
    • Slowly add warm water (as needed) and knead until you get a soft, smooth dough.
    • Cover and let it rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  2. Prepare the filling
    • Slice the olives.
    • Cook the bacon until slightly crispy. Set aside.
  3. Assemble the bread
    • Roll the dough into a large rectangle.
    • Spread the honey mustard over the dough.
    • Layer the ham, bacon, olives, capers, and raisins evenly.
  4. Roll and seal
    • Roll the dough tightly like a log.
    • Place it seam-side down on a baking tray.
  5. Bake
    • Brush the top with the beaten egg.
    • Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30–40 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cool and serve
    • Let it cool slightly before slicing.
    • Enjoy.
