Banana Bread

Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 3 bananas (bacoba)
  • 3 eggs
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup liquid milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup walnuts
  • Caramel or strawberry sauce (optional)
  • 2 aluminum baking pans
Directions
  1. Prepare the wet ingredients
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • In a large bowl, mash the bananas.
    • Add eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract. 
    • Mix until fully combined.
  2. Add the dry ingredients
    • In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients a little bit at a time. 
    • Mix until just combined.
    • Chop and fold the walnuts into the batter.
  3. Bake the banana bread
    • Pour the batter into the prepared aluminum pans.
    • Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Plate and Serve
    • Take the banana bread out of the oven and let cool slightly.
    • Cut into single portions and lay out on a plate.
    • Top with a drizzel of either caramel or strawberry sauce (optional).
    • Enjoy.
