Quick Mini Donuts Appetizer

Ingredients

For the Mini Donuts:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 packs plain yogurt
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 cups white sugar (for coating)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
  1. Mix the wet ingredients 
    • In a bowl, beat the egg with yogurt, sugar, milk, and lemon zest.
  2. Add the dry ingredients
    • Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing into a smooth dough.
  3. Prepare for frying
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Shape small balls of dough
  4. Cook the Mini Donuts
    • Fry until golden brown.
  5. Plate up
    • Roll the hot donuts in white sugar to coat.
    • Serve warm.
