Creamy Chicken Pasta

Ingredients

For the Chicken and Sausage

  • 2 packs chicken breast
  • 1 pack sausage
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder 
  • 1 tablespoon oregano

For the Pasta and Sauce 

  • 1 pack pasta of choice
  • 1 pack chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 10 mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Directions
  1. Prepare the chicken
    • Chop the chicken breast and sausage into large chunks.
    • Melt butter in a pan and add the chicken and sausage.
    • Add salt, paprika, garlic powder and oregano.
    • Stir well until everything is combined.
    • Once the chicken and sausage have browned, remove and set aside.
  2. Boil the pasta
    • Pour the chicken broth in a pot and bring to a boil.
    • Add the uncooked pasta to the pot.
    • Boil for 15 minutes or until "al dente".
    • Prepare the sauce in the meantime.
  3. Prepare the sauce base
    • In the same pan used for the chicken, melt some butter.
    • Chop the onion, garlic and mushrooms.
    • Saute the onions, garlic and mushrooms until mushrooms soften and onions are translucent.
  4. Creating the sauce
    • Add the heavy cream to the pan of vegetables and mix well.
    • Add the milk, soy sauce and black pepper and stir well.
    • Add the parmesan cheese in small amounts to taste and stir well.
  5. Combine 
    • Drain the pasta making sure to keep the boiled pasta in the pot. 
    • Add the chicken and sausages to the pan with sauce and mix. 
    • Let simmer for 3-5 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.
    • Once the chicken and sauce is well combined, add it to the pot with the boiled pasta and mix well.
  6. Plate and serve
    • Place some pasta on a plate and pour some extra sauce on top.
    • Top with chopped parsley or oregano as garnish.
    • Enjoy.
