Christmas Ham

Ingredients
  • 1 small ham for baking
  • 3 tbsp mustard
  • 1 can pineapple slices
  • 1 jar maraschino cherries
  • 10 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 stick honey
  • Black pepper, allspice, onion powder, garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp apricot jam
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (maizena)
  • 1 pack toothpicks
  • Aluminum foil
Directions
  1. Prepare the glaze
    • Mix mustard, brown sugar, honey, butter, apricot jam, and orange juice in a small pot.
    • Add black pepper, allspice, onion powder, and garlic powder.
    • Heat until everything melts together.
    • Dissolve the cornstarch in a little water.
    • Add the cornstarch slurry to thicken it slightly.
  2. Assemble the ham
    • Place pineapple slices and cherries on the ham using toothpicks.
    • Pour part of the glaze over the ham.
  3. Prepare the ham
    • Let the ham sit and absorb flavors for 30 minutes.
  4. Bake the ham
    • Cover the ham with foil.
    • Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
    • Halfway through, brush with more glaze.
  5. Plate and Serve
    • Place the ham on a plate.
    • Brush more glaze on the ham. (optional)
    • Enjoy.
